PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Northwest Cabarrus Bands is comprehensive program that consists of students/families from Northwest Cabarrus Middle-High Schools and provides a creative and collaborative approach to educating performers from 6th through 12th grade.  Between both schools, a variety of opportunities exist for students to thrive in the performing arts, including:  concert ensembles, chamber groups, jazz combos, competitive marching band, and winter guard units.

PROGRAM GOAL

This program exists to deliver a creative outlet for students and to cultivate a love of the musical-visual arts through worthwhile performance, teamwork, self-discipline, and a creative atmosphere.  The ultimate goal is to provide high-quality and practical application in order to reach the full potential of each individual student.  As a staff, we strive to offer each student with the type of experience that will be rewarding, aesthetic, and life-enhancing.

Members of this program will have a “home base” throughout their middle/high school years and be provided with:

     -  a place where they will be engaged at the highest levels,

     -  a place where they are surrounded by the best and brightest students,

     -  a place where they will be supported, yet challenged physically/mentally/intellectually,

     -  a place that teaches character development and life skills, and

     -  a place that will allow them to grow and thrive as a student, a performer, and a leader.
